Senior Counterterrorism Analyst

About the role

Amentum provides warning and all-source analytical support to the Defense Combating Terrorism Office of the Department of Defense, producing intelligence on transnational and regional terrorist threats. The Senior Counterterrorism Analyst works on operational and strategic effects against emerging terrorist networks and identities, supports the TIDE watchlist, the Pentagon/Joint Staff, and the POW/MIA cell, and delivers 24/7/365 support to DoD, senior policymakers and partners. The position is first shift, 8 hours per day.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyze data, information and intelligence to produce all-source intelligence products for senior defense officials and Combatant Commands, in line with ODNI and DIA analytical standards
• Produce strategic and operational analysis of terrorist networks and activities, including briefings and DIA-standard products
• Coordinate products within DIA and with other intelligence community partners, meeting formatting, classification and dissemination guidelines
• Apply SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT and HUMINT data to identify terrorist networks and key actors
• Support DoD field collectors, special operations and TDY support to partner nations, and national and CCMD planning and contingency efforts
• Review analytic products for rigor and cogent arguments, and lead teams in research and methodology
• Respond to customer requests for terrorism information orally and in writing, and take part in meetings and working groups

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• 12 years of experience
• TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
• Strong understanding of ODNI ICD 203, 206 and 208
