Senior Counterterrorism Analyst

About the role

Amentum provides warning and all-source analytical support to the Defense Combating Terrorism Office of the Department of Defense, producing intelligence on transnational and regional terrorist threats. The Senior Counterterrorism Analyst works on first shift (8 hours per day) and supports the Pentagon, Joint Staff, congressional POW/MIA cells and international partners with predictive threat assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyze data, information and intelligence to produce all-source intelligence products for senior defense officials and Combatant Commands, in line with ODNI and DIA analytical standards
• Produce strategic and operational analysis of terrorist networks, including briefings and DIA-standard products
• Coordinate products within DIA and with other intelligence community partners, meeting formatting, classification and dissemination guidelines
• Support field collectors, special operations and contingency/crisis planning, including TDY support to partner nations
• Respond to customer requests for terrorism information orally and in writing, and take part in meetings, conferences and working groups

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• 12 years of experience
• TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
• Strong understanding of ODNI ICD 203, 206 and 208

• Use of SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT and HUMINT data sets
• Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Use of research databases such as the Global Terrorism Database
