Senior Consultant or Associate, Consumer, Telco & Technology

About the role

Oliver Wyman's Consumer, Telco & Technology (CTT) practice helps industry leaders in consumer, telecommunications and technology develop value-growth strategies, improve operations and maximize organizational effectiveness. Senior Consultants and Associates work side by side with clients in New York, Chicago and Boston, reporting to Engagement Managers and Principals. The position suits motivated professionals with relevant prior experience and offers strong career and growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the execution of individual project workstreams, including developing hypotheses, collecting data, building models and analyses, conducting primary and secondary research, surfacing insights and synthesizing findings into written presentations
• Review and discuss findings with clients and other stakeholders
• Support the Partner group in project delivery with accurate, high-quality execution
• Seek guidance on technical expertise and senior-level advice on project execution and client engagement
• Coach consultants and help them develop their skills

Required profile

• At least 3-6 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm or similar organization
• Preferred but not required: experience in retail, consumer goods, telecommunications, software/technology or media
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program
• Strong strategic problem-solving and analytical skills, with outstanding written and verbal communication
• Willingness to travel, to take initiative and to work respectfully with a talented team

Required skills

• Familiarity with analytical tools such as Excel, SQL and Python
• Ability to find key issues in large, complex data sets

What we offer

• Base salary range of $135,000 - $195,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, training, location, certifications and education
