Senior Construction Estimator

About the role

North Wind Group is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to lead estimate development for a variety of projects across its operational areas. The role involves collaborating with regional managers, subcontractors, and design teams to produce accurate, competitive bids.

Key responsibilities

• Perform takeoffs, develop complete project estimates, and create project‑specific resource libraries.
• Manage a small estimating team, oversee subcontractor solicitation, quote comparisons, and document control.
• Develop Basis of Estimates (BOE) and risk identification matrices for both design‑bid‑build and design‑build pursuits.
• Lead bid reviews, coordinate with contracts, and ensure bidding schedules meet milestones.

Required profile

• 5+ years of lead estimator experience, including design‑build projects and federal government contracting.
• Proven ability to work with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to capture undefined costs.
• Experience managing small teams and conducting internal and external meetings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel.
