Senior Community Manager – Owned Assets

About the role

The Senior Community Manager for Owned Assets at The Waller will oversee day‑to‑day operations of multiple multifamily properties in Austin. Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead on‑site teams, manage financial performance and ensure compliance with all relevant housing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage property budgets, analyze financial statements and monitor performance against targets.
• Set rent rates, collect rent and fees, process bank deposits and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Approve vendor invoices, verify insurance certificates, code expenses and coordinate with accounting and owners.
• Control expenditures, maintain petty‑cash fund and stay within approved budget limits.
• Oversee lease enforcement: approve applications, discounts, renewals, conduct inspections, issue notices, manage evictions and collect late fees.
• Analyze market and economic trends to create short‑ and long‑term leasing and marketing strategies that drive occupancy and revenue.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multifamily property operations and teams.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act and other multifamily regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, financial reporting and vendor relationships.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret market data and adjust leasing strategies.
