Senior Cloud Engineer

About the role

Aras, a provider of digital thread solutions for product lifecycle management (PLM) and engineering AI, is hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer in Andover. The role owns and enhances Azure cloud infrastructure, governance and platform standards across commercial and sovereign cloud environments, and works closely with infrastructure, networking, security and operations teams. The position is hybrid, with in-office days on Wednesday and Thursday.

Key responsibilities

• Own and enhance Azure cloud infrastructure, governance and platform standards across commercial and sovereign clouds.
• Design, implement and automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep), Azure DevOps and PowerShell.
• Lead identity and access management across Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Active Directory, Conditional Access, PIM and Zero Trust.
• Manage certificates, PKI, secrets and authentication strategies.
• Develop cloud governance, security, compliance, monitoring and cost optimization practices, including support for CMMC and NIST.
• Set observability standards across Azure Monitor, Datadog and Log Analytics.
• Produce architecture documentation, design standards and runbooks, mentor engineers and lead technical reviews.
• Partner with teams on platform modernization, migration, business continuity and operational excellence.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience in Azure Government, Microsoft 365 GCC High or other sovereign clouds.
• Experience in regulated, audited or compliance-driven environments.
• Ability to set technical standards, lead design reviews and communicate complex solutions clearly.

Required skills

• Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Active Directory, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC and SCIM.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or Bicep in production.
• PowerShell scripting and Git-based CI/CD.
• Azure RBAC, Azure Policy, cloud governance and networking.

Nice to have

• CMMC, NIST 800-171, DFARS or FedRAMP knowledge.
• Enterprise-scale Okta administration, PKI automation, Datadog, FinOps, Python or Go.
• Certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-500, SC-300 or Terraform Associate.
