Senior Cloud Database Migration Engineer – Azure

About the role

We are looking for a senior professional to lead cloud database migration projects on Azure, focusing on moving Oracle workloads to Azure SQL. The role is based in Austin, Texas and operates in a hybrid model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in both Oracle and SQL Server environments and will be responsible for ensuring seamless migration and optimal performance in the cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute migrations from Oracle databases to Azure SQL, including schema and data conversion.
• Administer and tune SQL Server and Oracle databases to meet performance and reliability targets.
• Convert PL/SQL code to T‑SQL and adapt applications for Azure.
• Implement enterprise‑wide cloud database administration standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support ongoing database operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in database administration and migration.
• Strong background in Oracle and SQL Server technologies.
• Proven ability to work in a hybrid environment and manage complex migration projects.
