Senior Cloud Data Architect – Azure / Databricks

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of modern data solutions on Azure and Databricks. The role is based onsite in San Jose, CA and will work closely with engineering and business teams to deliver scalable, governed data platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end cloud data architectures, including data lakes, pipelines, and analytics workloads on Azure.
• Build and maintain data ingestion and transformation processes using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Implement data governance, metadata management, and lineage tracking across the platform.
• Develop and document data models, schema evolution strategies, and data flow diagrams.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to optimize performance and ensure best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of overall experience with at least 3 years focused on cloud data architecture.
• 7 + years of hands‑on data engineering or architecture experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
