Senior Career Development Coordinator for Career Exploration

About the role

The Senior Career Development Coordinator for Career Exploration supports student retention and success by providing career advising, coaching, and programming for students and alumni. Reporting to the Associate Director, the role blends one‑on‑one counseling with group workshops, both in‑person and online.

Key responsibilities

• Assist students and alumni in developing career goals through exploration, assessments, and resource utilization.
• Identify and address perceived barriers to student success using a strengths‑based, student‑centered approach.
• Administer and manage the YouScience career exploration software and related outreach activities.
• Support new and transfer students and their families during orientation with career‑exploration resources.
• Provide career coaching to individuals and groups throughout all stages of decision‑making.
• Maintain departmental processes and stay current with emerging trends in career development.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in career counseling, coaching, or related student development roles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and community partners.
• Strong communication skills for delivering presentations and workshops.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with YouScience career exploration software.
