Senior Buyer, Raw Materials and Hardware

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking a Senior Buyer to manage procurement of raw materials and hardware for electric aircraft. The role involves sourcing, order fulfillment, and supplier account management to ensure timely delivery of critical components.

Key responsibilities

• Generate Statements of Work (SoW) and lead development of Request for Proposal (RFP) packages.
• Manage source selection, prepare purchase orders, and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Oversee supplier performance throughout contract lifecycles and act as commercial authority for agreements.
• Coordinate program review meetings and serve as liaison between internal teams and external partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or equivalent experience.
• 5‑7 years of procurement experience on high‑value or complex aerospace projects.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 20%+ of the time.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems (Plex, Oracle, SAP, Epicor).
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Suite.
• Experience with collaboration tools such as Slack, 3DX, Grafana or Tableau.
• Ability to prepare presentations and data sets for stakeholders.
