Senior Backend / Full-Stack Software Engineer

About the role

LVIS Corporation is looking for a senior backend/full‑stack engineer to join a small, fast‑moving special projects team. The team builds data pipelines, APIs and product features for an AI‑driven platform that processes large‑scale EEG and neurological data in clinical settings.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship end‑to‑end backend and full‑stack features with high ownership.
• Write Python code for data processing, lightweight services, uploader tools and pipelines.
• Build and optimise data pipelines for large‑scale medical signals such as EEG.
• Develop and maintain APIs, services and systems for data ingestion, processing and storage.
• Work with AWS‑based distributed cloud infrastructure across multiple regions.
• Rapidly prototype and iterate using AI tools while keeping architecture clean and scalable.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and improve reliability and developer velocity.
• Collaborate closely with product, machine‑learning and leadership teams to prioritise and deliver quickly.

Required profile

• Strong Python expertise for backend services, data pipelines and internal tools.
• 6+ years of experience building production backend systems (exceptional candidates may be considered).
• Solid fundamentals in system design, data structures and backend architecture.
• Ability to move quickly, work independently and take high ownership.
• Experience using AI coding assistants to accelerate development.
• Comfortable working across backend and frontend layers when needed.
