Senior Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Architect to lead the design, deployment and optimization of AVD solutions for our clients in Houston, TX. The role requires deep expertise in Azure cloud services, Windows 365 and related technologies, and will be performed onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including host pool configuration and FSLogix profile management.
• Architect Azure networking, Entra ID integration, and ensure high‑availability, disaster‑recovery and scaling strategies.
• Lead migration projects from Citrix to Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for device and application compliance.
• Package and publish applications for seamless delivery within the virtual desktop.
• Monitor performance, conduct L3 troubleshooting and optimize AVD workloads.

Required profile

• 13+ years of experience designing and delivering Azure‑based solutions.
• Proven senior‑level expertise in cloud architecture and virtual desktop infrastructure.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work onsite with client teams.
