Senior Azure Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Azure Engineer to lead the design, migration and operation of our cloud infrastructure. The position is fully remote and reports to the IT leadership team, working closely with security, disaster-recovery and business-continuity groups.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and monitor physical and virtual servers in Microsoft Azure and on-premise data centres.
• Design and execute migration of on-premises workloads, applications and data to Azure.
• Evaluate new infrastructure solutions and test emerging cloud technologies.
• Provide cloud user management, security, capacity planning, monitoring and configuration of development tools.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell and Azure PowerShell scripts for automation.
• Design Organizational Unit structures, Group Policy settings and Azure Active Directory/O365 synchronization.
• Collaborate with IT counterparts on information-security, disaster-recovery and business-continuity processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing Azure environments and migrating on-premises systems to the cloud.
• Strong understanding of IT security, disaster-recovery and business-continuity concepts.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions that affect own work and influence team activities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
