Senior Audit Associate

About the role

HLS Global is looking for a Senior Audit Associate to join its U.S. audit teams in Dallas, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, or New York. The role focuses on audit engagements for Japanese‑owned companies and requires a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and audit standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audit fieldwork and documentation for Japanese subsidiaries operating in the United States.
• Coordinate with senior staff to ensure audit procedures meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in supervising junior team members and reviewing their work.
• Travel to client sites as needed to complete audit engagements.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of recent audit experience in public accounting, including work with Japanese companies.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and audit/review procedures.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and research abilities.
• Supervisory experience and willingness to travel.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in Japanese.
