Senior ATE Technician – Semiconductor Test

About the role

Tessolve Semiconductors is seeking experienced Senior ATE Technicians to support semiconductor test operations in its California facilities. The role involves hands‑on mechanical interfacing with automated test equipment (ATE) and ensuring high‑quality test execution for various System‑on‑Chip (SoC) models.

Key responsibilities

• Dock and undock ATE testers with handlers, ensuring proper mechanical alignment.
• Install and align Device Interface Boards (DIBs) and loadboards, preventing pin damage.
• Swap test kits (sockets, stiffeners, plungers) when transitioning between SoC models.
• Perform continuity and isolation checks, debug loadboards, and validate test setups.
• Repair pins and sockets in collaboration with vendors.
• Run diagnostic and calibration routines to maintain tester uptime.
• Execute daily test plans, load programs, and test parts as directed by the ATE Engineer.
• Support shipping and receiving of test equipment and components.

Required profile

• Proven experience with ATE equipment in a semiconductor or electronics manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in shift rotations (7 AM‑2 PM, 2 PM‑10 PM, 10 PM‑7 AM).
• Effective communication with engineering and vendor teams.
