Senior Associate, Tax

About the role

Forvis Mazars is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Private Client Tax team. You will work with ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals, families and entities, providing sophisticated tax compliance, consulting and planning services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual (Forms 1040, 1040‑NR), partnership (Form 1065) and corporate (Forms 1120, 1120‑S) tax returns across multiple industries.
• Deliver high‑quality client service, building trusted advisor relationships and responding promptly to client needs.
• Collaborate with client management to identify tax issues and propose practical solutions.
• Manage workflow, monitor progress and ensure timely, on‑budget delivery of assignments.
• Leverage technology tools and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain CPE requirements and stay current on tax regulations.
• Support business development by contributing to proposals and technical publications.
• Represent the firm at campus recruiting events and internal learning sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of tax experience in public accounting or a mix of corporate and public accounting.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam as defined by the state board of accountancy.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel for client engagements, including overnight trips.
