Senior Associate Software Engineer, Connectivity Platform

About the role

Equinix is looking for a Senior Associate Software Engineer to join the Equinix Fabric team. You will help build and enhance a programmable Connectivity‑as‑a‑Service platform that powers global, mission‑critical connections.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain production backend services using Java and Spring.
• Develop RESTful APIs and business logic following OpenAPI/Swagger contracts.
• Write efficient SQL queries, perform basic schema design, and create unit and integration tests.
• Contribute to feature development from implementation through release, and assist in defect diagnosis using logs and metrics.
• Integrate internal services with external cloud partners such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Work with containerised micro‑services in Kubernetes and Docker environments, supporting high‑throughput, low‑latency operations.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and other engineers, and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of professional software development experience delivering production code.
• Curious, motivated to learn, and comfortable working under guidance while building confidence in troubleshooting and system behaviour.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
