Senior Associate – Consulting

About the role

TRC Advisory, a Chicago‑based boutique consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Associate to join its high‑performing team. This remote position involves frequent client site travel (3‑4 days per week) and offers the chance to work directly with C‑suite leaders on growth and profitability initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead one or more workstreams under senior guidance, collaborating with junior and mid‑level client contacts.
• Develop and execute discrete analyses to produce high‑value content and actionable insights.
• Maintain strict deadlines while ensuring minimal errors.
• Supervise and mentor less‑experienced team members, providing direction and support.
• Engage clients, manage relationships, and deliver value‑focused presentations.
• Identify high‑value opportunities, drive follow‑on work, and support firm‑wide business development efforts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) from a rigorous four‑year institution with strong academic performance.
• 4+ years of consulting or relevant business experience.
• Analytical problem‑solver with a relentless drive to tackle complex challenges.
• Entrepreneurial mindset focused on continuous improvement.
• Results‑oriented team player with proven leadership and business‑building abilities.
• Experience in strategy or pricing is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to client sites up to 3‑4 days per week.
