Senior Application Engineering Manager, Core Financial Apps

About the role

Atlassian Corporate Engineering (ACE) is hiring a Senior Application Engineering Manager for its Finance Technology team, based in Seattle, San Francisco, Mountain View or remotely. The role leads a group of application development and software engineers who run the business and deliver projects from technical design to launch, working on Oracle Fusion Cloud and other Finance SaaS applications that modernize finance operations through transformation, automation, AI/ML and other finance priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of application development and software engineers across all levels, guiding run-the-business operations, projects and partnerships across engineering teams.
• Maximize Oracle Fusion Cloud features: understand the current implementation, guide the team in using new features after each quarterly upgrade, and cover all core financial modules (OM, AR, AP, FA, GL).
• Promote an automation mindset using RPA and low-code/no-code tools, and gain exposure to AI/ML impacts on finance.
• Lead, integrate and maintain integrations between Fusion Cloud and the finance SaaS stack (Zuora, Coupa, Anaplan, Avalara, Fieldglass and others).
• Drive metrics-driven outcomes for business teams and work with Internal Audit to keep systems SOX compliant.
• Partner with engineers, data scientists and technical product managers, and partner with Finance and Engineering stakeholders.
• Tackle complex architectural challenges, lead code reviews and documentation, fix complex bugs on high-risk problems, and handle new M&A integrations.

Required profile

• At least 9+ years of hands-on experience as a senior engineering manager in the core finance domain, managing application development engineers.
• Core finance domain expertise, including leading finance business transformation with SaaS application stacks.
• Understanding of application development for large organizations; experience running transformations is a big plus.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills for working with senior finance and engineering stakeholders.

Required skills

• Oracle Fusion Cloud and other SaaS systems (Zuora, Coupa, Fieldglass, Anaplan, Avalara)
• Automation, PaaS and BRE tools (RPA, Workato, Camunda)
• Plus: upstream/downstream systems such as Salesforce and Databricks, and familiarity with AI/ML use cases

• Base pay for new hires: Zone A $201,600-$263,200, Zone B $181,440-$236,880, Zone C $167,328-$218,456.
