Senior Agentic Engineer

About the role

Farther is a rapidly growing RIA combining expert advisors with technology, offering a tailored wealth management experience. As a Senior Agentic Engineer, you will build AI agents that perform real operational work within a regulated wealth management environment, using the company's proprietary data model and vendor integrations. You will partner with operations teams, advisors and business partners, own the rollout of each solution and make sure it becomes a trusted part of how the business works.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to find high-value workflows and turn them into prioritized agentic solutions
• Design and build production agents that reason over and act on the data model and vendor integrations (custodians, CRM, planning and other third-party systems)
• Make architectural decisions that favor scalable solutions, using testing, code review, CI/CD and infrastructure as code
• Build and maintain integrations connecting agents to internal services and external vendor platforms
• Own production readiness: monitoring, alerting, logging and evaluation so agent behavior is observable, reliable and safe
• Lead complex rollouts to business-facing users, train and support them, and track adoption and business impact
• Set guardrails and access controls suited to a regulated financial environment

Required profile

• 5-10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Track record of designing systems that scale
• Professional experience building AI agents (Claude Managed Agents or Anthropic Claude Agent SDK preferred)
• Experience supporting operations functions and teams
• Strong ownership and business judgment, with the ability to explain trade-offs and turn user feedback into product decisions
• History of carrying complex, business-facing applications through rollout

• Infrastructure as code (AWS CDK)
• AI coding tools, MCPs, LLM APIs and agent frameworks
• REST APIs and event-driven architectures, observability tooling
