Senior Actuation Engineer

About the role

REGENT is developing the Seaglider, a wing‑in‑ground‑effect craft for fast, sustainable coastal transportation. As a Senior Actuation Engineer you will own the aerodynamic and hydrodynamic surface actuation controls that enable safe, flight‑capable hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage actuation system architecture, requirements, performance targets and qualification plans.
• Conduct high‑impact trade studies and deliver analysis supporting major program milestones.
• Develop and maintain simulation models, assumptions and documentation for repeatable engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with loads, manufacturing, controls, GNC, integration and certification teams to ensure as‑built performance meets requirements.
• Improve team execution by refining procedures, templates and best practices.
• Lead certification of the world’s first all‑electric Seaglider actuation control system.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an actuation engineer focusing on electromechanical, flight‑critical systems.
• Track record of taking actuation systems from concept through qualification and certification.
• Experience managing suppliers of actuation‑related materials and components.
• Strong understanding of bandwidth, duty cycle, fatigue, stability, power and sea‑based environmental challenges.
