Senior Accounting Consultant – Boston (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Senior Accounting Consultant to join our Full‑Time Engagement Professionals practice. The role supports clients in biotech, technology and other complex industries, leading month‑end close, financial reporting and audit activities in a fast‑paced, hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle month‑end and quarter‑end close processes for multiple entities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reporting packages under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Perform balance‑sheet and P&L variance analysis and present insights to leadership.
• Partner with internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Ensure SOX compliance and drive continuous improvement of internal controls.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers and manage lease accounting (IFRS 16 / ASC 842).
• Assist with ERP implementations, upgrades or system transitions (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle).
• Collaborate with FP&A, operations and finance teams to improve close efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including audit or public‑company exposure.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS experience is a plus.
• Experience working in SOX‑compliant environments.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in client‑facing settings.
