Senior Accountant

About the role

CBRE is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its General Accounting team. In this role you will apply advanced accounting principles to prepare, review, and maintain complex financial statements and reports, supporting the company’s financial integrity and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial documents including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, budgets and payroll.
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries, tax records and other financial data.
• Execute month‑end close activities, reconcile balance sheets and profit‑and‑loss statements.
• Post to the GL, review variances to budget, and provide forecasts for business changes.
• Track accounts receivable, ensure proper payment recording and resolve related issues.
• Assist with accounting system conversions or enhancements and educate peers on updates.
• Evaluate billing and invoicing data, submit cash applications and address AR discrepancies.
• Model CBRE RISE values, lead by example and support team quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 2‑5 years of relevant accounting experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Strong understanding of accounting procedures and standards to solve moderately complex problems.
• Excellent analytical abilities, advanced math skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
