Senior Accountant (Hybrid, New York)

About the role

The Senior Accountant will join Valentino’s Finance team in New York on a six‑month fixed‑term assignment covering maternity leave. Working in a hybrid model, you will ensure accurate financial reporting and support the company’s global finance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activities, prepare and review journal entries.
• Execute month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Reconcile accounts and analyze financial data.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and expense allocation reviews.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and provide audit support.
• Identify and implement process improvements in line with best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, preferably in luxury, retail or consumer goods.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls and compliance.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with high confidentiality and professional judgment.
