Senior Accountant – Construction Finance

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a fast‑growing general contractor in Midtown Manhattan. This high‑exposure position works directly with the CFO, Corporate Controller and Project Controller team, offering a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) and a competitive compensation package.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare the three primary financial statements each month.
  • Support month‑end close activities, including journal entries and consolidations.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist the AP/AR teams.
  • Collaborate with project controllers to ensure accurate reporting.

Required profile

  • Minimum BA/BS in Accounting from an accredited institution.
  • 4+ years of corporate accounting experience, preferably in construction.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with Sage 300 or Intacct.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables.

  • Base salary $120k‑$150k per year plus discretionary bonus.
