Senior Account Services Analyst - Trade Credit

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Senior Analyst, Account Services (Trade Credit Services) in Pennant Park. The role manages and services commercial credit customers on the Pro Trade Credit program, with greater responsibility and higher approval authority than other positions. It covers credit line management, receivables management, customer service and support of payments and dispute resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Collections and disputes (25%): maintain accurate collection status records, resolve customer discrepancies and disputes, recommend actions for delinquent accounts and advise when to involve outside agencies or attorneys.
• Customer service (25%): communicate directly with customers and internal sales associates or leadership about credit and collection matters, verbally and in writing.
• Drive results (25%): understand and influence results to meet individual and team performance metrics, and propose solutions and process improvements.
• Manage credit (25%): perform judgmental underwriting for large commercial customers' credit needs, manage receivables and mitigate potential losses through sound credit management.

Required profile

• Able to work independently and as part of a team; able to negotiate, handle complaints and settle disputes with internal and external customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and sound decision-making.
• Track record of handling multiple simultaneous customer service needs and project management for small-to-medium projects.
• Ability to analyze business problems and opportunities.
• Minimum education: bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
• Must be 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Experience in consumer and commercial credit underwriting, credit risk management or a related field preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, turning data into actionable information.

Reporting to the Area Supervisor, Trade Credit Services, with up to 0 direct reports. Travel is typically less than 5% overnight, and the work is mostly done sitting indoors.
