Senior Account Manager – Global Sales

About the role

American Airlines is seeking a Senior Account Manager to join its Global Sales team, focusing on Agency Sales. You will partner with corporate and agency clients to create travel solutions, analyze performance data, and drive strategic growth across the airline’s network.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with agency and corporate accounts.
• Analyze customer needs through meetings and data insights to shape tailored travel outcomes.
• Coordinate and implement programs with field and internal departments.
• Prepare proposals, presentations, and correspondence to support retailing activities.
• Communicate updates on American Airlines products and services.
• Support the Agency Sales team with project management and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and influence sales strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, revenue management, revenue analysis, or other airline commercial functions.
• Experience in airline or B2B sales is preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a competitive, fast‑paced environment and communicate with senior executives.
• Strong account strategy development and execution capabilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of modern airline distribution technologies such as NDC.
• Familiarity with online booking tools.
• Experience with Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
