Security Zone Manager - Loews Hotels Universal Orlando

About the role

Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando is hiring a Security Zone Manager. The manager directs and ensures the safety and security of guests, employees and the hotel property in a professional, guest-friendly way, in line with legal requirements and Loews Hotels' corporate guidelines. The position also covers the duties of the Director of Security in his absence. The manager oversees continuous security rounds and inspections, proactive safety and loss prevention efforts, emergency drills and investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all Security department personnel and ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and Loews Hotels policies
• Maintain continuous physical property rounds and set schedules for inspections (Fire Equipment Survey, Safety Checklist, guest room security inspection)
• Resolve, document and track security issues, respond to liability claims and chair the property Safety Committee
• Coordinate safety meetings, the safety incentive/loss prevention program, and prepare security logs, shift reports and records
• Investigate work-related injuries, handle lost and found items, and maintain MSDS files
• Supervise and train new security personnel, conduct in-service training and coordinate first aid, CPR and fire safety training
• Manage the key control program, monitor CCTV, radio and paging systems, and keep incident records
• Track room losses, incidents and accidents, and inform the General Manager of safety matters

Required profile

• Minimum five years as a Security Supervisor or five years of related management experience
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and of local, state and federal security laws
• Ability to make decisions on imperfect information and to multi-task
• Effective verbal and written communication in English
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
