Security Sergeant PRN

About the role

This position supervises the Security Sergeant and Security Officers on an assigned shift, overseeing day‑to‑day security operations. It provides instruction, guidance, and cross‑shift support while ensuring schedules and training are maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities and operations of Security Officers on the assigned shift.
• Supervise and lead Security Sergeants and Officers, enforcing policies and procedures.
• Evaluate serious security incidents, take appropriate action, and notify the Security Captain.
• Complete quarterly security audits and ensure timely, accurate security reports.
• Support emergency response drills and maintain required certifications and training.
• Oversee personnel scheduling to avoid unauthorized overtime.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of security, law‑enforcement, or military experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a security‑related field.
• Valid Louisiana driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI), and firearms training.

Required skills

• Computer skills for data entry and information retrieval.
• Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and keyboard operation.
