Security Operations & Detection Engineer (SecOps) – AI Cloud

About the role

Bitdeer is seeking a hands‑on Security Operations & Detection Engineer to join its AI Cloud Security team. The role focuses on real‑time alert monitoring, incident response, and detection engineering across GPU/AIDC infrastructure, cloud platforms, and public‑facing services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑shift triage, containment, escalation, and post‑incident documentation for P1/P2 security incidents.
• Meet SLAs for critical incidents (acknowledge P1 within 15 minutes, start response within 30 minutes).
• Continuously tune and build alert rules in the self‑built SIEM, HIDS, and WAF to reduce false positives.
• Develop and refine automated triage workflows to handle routine alerts.
• Conduct daily handoffs with the Singapore security team to ensure seamless global operations.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in a SOC, Incident Response, or Detection Engineering role.
• Strong Linux and Kubernetes fundamentals; comfortable with cloud platforms and bare‑metal/GPU environments.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python or Go and practical SIEM query experience (OpenSearch, Splunk DSL or similar).
• Experience with host‑based detection tools such as Falco, Wazuh, auditd and standard IR tooling.
• Willingness to participate in a weekend on‑call rotation.
