Security Operations Manager (MSP)

About the role

The Security Operations Manager is responsible for leading Digacore’s Security team, overseeing security service delivery, and helping clients strengthen their security posture. This role combines people leadership, security operations, client advisory, compliance support, and continuous improvement of our security offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop Security Analysts through coaching, career development, and performance management.
• Manage team priorities, workload distribution, and accountability to ensure high‑quality service delivery.
• Oversee security alerts, escalations, investigations, and incident response activities.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex security incidents and high‑risk situations.
• Drive root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts following security events.
• Conduct security assessments and help clients identify opportunities to reduce risk and improve security posture.
• Advise clients on cybersecurity best practices, compliance requirements, and security strategy.
• Support compliance initiatives including HIPAA, SOC 2, cyber‑insurance requirements, and related frameworks.
• Own and optimize security platforms such as Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Huntress, email security, vulnerability management, and related tools.

Required profile

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience in an MSP, MSSP, healthcare, regulated industry, or similar environment.
• 2+ years of leadership, team‑lead, or management experience.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft security technologies, identity management, endpoint security, and incident response.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, security reviews, and compliance‑related initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain security concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong documentation habits and a process‑oriented mindset.
