Security Officer

About the role

Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue, a 207-room hotel near the Bala Cynwyd Business District, is hiring a Security Officer. The officer performs protective and enforcement functions in a friendly and courteous manner to keep the hotel environment safe and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol designated hotel areas and respond to disturbances and emergencies
• Maintain a daily activity log and keep guest and employee incidents confidential
• Prepare incident and accident reports and share related information with hotel management
• Access secured areas for authorized personnel only
• Escort guests to their rooms and help guests enter their rooms according to hotel standards
• Monitor TV cameras where applicable
• Perform bell person tasks and assist guests with luggage
• Follow sustainability guidelines (EarthView program), safe work habits, protective equipment, MSDS and OSHA standards, and work toward higher guest satisfaction scores
• Perform other duties requested by management; the schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends and alternate shifts

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
• Prior security experience desirable
• CPR/First Aid preferred
