Security Officer HOA Flex

About the role

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer in Murrieta, California, to serve and safeguard clients in industries such as healthcare, education and finance. The position is flexible: you use the company's shift-pickup platform to choose open shifts according to your availability, and you can supplement your income or start a career. Irregular shifts with little or no advance notice may be required.

Key responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rules such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter, monitor entrances and exits, and observe departing personnel to prevent theft
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents and suspicious activity, keeping written logs
• Aid customers, employees and visitors courteously and make emergency notifications as required by site Post Orders

Required profile

• Current CA Guard Card with training certificates
• Valid California driver's license with a clean record for more than 1 year
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience; no prior experience required
• Open availability and willingness to work irregular shifts
• At least 18 years old (21 if armed)
• Subject to background investigation and drug screening

Required skills

• Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
• Clear oral and written communication and active listening
• Problem-solving, conflict mediation and teamwork
• Preferred: multilingual ability and prior security, military or law enforcement experience
