Security Engineer (Purple Team)

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a multifaceted Product Security Engineer to join its Purple Team. The role focuses on protecting the Vehicle OS, Self‑Driving Systems, and OTA/remote command‑center backend services. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, acting as an offensive security specialist while advising on defensive measures.

Key responsibilities

• Review, assess, and audit vehicle software platform code to identify security vulnerabilities using automated tests and tooling.
• Lead security verification and validation (V&V) initiatives and serve as the point of contact for all security V&V activities.
• Set up benches for penetration tests and risk assessments in an automotive environment.
• Implement fixes for identified vulnerabilities where appropriate and coordinate long‑term remediation with core software teams.
• Help design a secure vehicle software platform, connected‑vehicle architecture, and autonomous‑vehicle architecture.
• Conduct hands‑on security testing and perform risk assessments.

Required profile

• Experience reviewing and auditing vehicle software code for security issues.
• Proven ability to lead security verification and validation efforts.
• Hands‑on experience with penetration testing and risk assessment in automotive contexts.
• Capability to implement security fixes and drive remediation across software teams.
