Security Engineer – Corporate Security

About the role

Anthropic is building safe, reliable, and steerable AI systems. As a Security Engineer on the Corporate Security team, you will protect the environment where Anthropic’s people work – their devices, identities, collaboration tools, and the data that powers Claude. You will own end‑to‑end engineering of security controls, turning technical direction into production‑ready tooling while keeping the employee experience smooth.

Key responsibilities

• Drive endpoint hardening across macOS, Windows, Linux, and ChromeOS using versioned, reviewable device‑management configurations, application allow‑listing, patching, and browser policies.
• Extend device‑trust and zero‑trust access controls so only managed devices tied to the right user can reach company systems.
• Build automation for joiner/mover/leaver workflows, exception handling, posture‑driven policies, and Claude‑assisted triage of review queues.
• Lead SaaS and identity‑governance initiatives, including third‑party OAuth grants, delegated admin access, chat‑platform apps, browser extensions, and software security reviews.
• Partner with Security, IT, and Engineering to define telemetry, detections, and shared standards for a company increasingly run on AI agents.

Required profile

• Senior, hands‑on individual contributor with a strong security engineering mindset.
• Experience threat‑modeling complex environments and translating findings into actionable controls.
• Ability to balance security rigor with user workflow efficiency.

Required skills

• Endpoint security engineering on macOS, Windows, Linux, or ChromeOS (MDM, device management).
• Zero‑trust access control design and implementation.
• Automation and scripting for identity/device lifecycle (joiner/mover/leaver).
• SaaS security, OAuth, and identity‑governance.
• Policy‑as‑code, telemetry, and detection engineering.
