Security Analyst – Adjudication Support

About the role

Amentum is recruiting security analysts to provide adjudicative support to a government customer in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Analysts review security clearance paperwork and personnel security files and write a written adjudicative recommendation. Work takes place at a fixed customer location and involves mostly computer-based review and report generation.

Key responsibilities

• Review security clearance paperwork and personnel security files thoroughly
• Generate a written adjudicative recommendation for the customer
• Balance a caseload and give case briefings
• Conduct elicitation interviews when needed
• Produce succinct, well-supported reports from complex, multi-source data

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience (one extra year of relevant work)
• Active Top Secret US Government clearance at application, with ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph; US citizenship required
• Level 1: at least two years as a background investigator or administering polygraph testing
• Level 2: at least one year performing security or suitability adjudications
• Level 3: at least three years performing security or suitability adjudications
• Level 4: at least five years performing security or suitability adjudications
• Preferred: five additional years of related experience and prior experience supporting this customer

Required skills

• Knowledge of ICD 704 or SEAD guidelines
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Analytical ability, excellent writing and communication, and discretion with sensitive information
• Ability to elicit information in interviews with minimal direction
