Security Administrator

About the role

Amentum is looking for security administrators to support personnel security vetting in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The work is done at a fixed customer location and involves administrative support for clearance processing and vetting. The posting is part of an ongoing talent pipeline, so the position may not be immediately open.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service support, data entry and file maintenance
• Review of security clearance paperwork and reports, including redaction
• Filing and records management
• Other duties assigned in support of personnel security processing and clearance vetting, such as reviewing reports and cases for completion

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a security-related discipline (full performance); 3-5 years of administrative experience in a security-related discipline (senior); 7+ years of personnel security experience (senior)
• Active Top Secret US Government clearance at time of application, with the ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph; US citizenship is required for a Top Secret clearance
• Broad experience with personnel security policies and practices
• Preferred: prior experience supporting this customer and a bachelor's degree

Required skills

• Excellent writing and communication skills, good judgment and discretion with sensitive, personal and classified information
• Ability to navigate automated systems for case tracking and status reporting
• Knowledge of federal rules governing personnel security
• Use of Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with fax machines, scanners and multi-line phone systems
• Detail oriented, able to balance multiple tasks and learn new proprietary computer systems
