Seasonal Cashier - PNC Field Concessions

About the role

A seasonal, part-time cashier is needed at PNC Field, home of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, within the Concessions department and reporting to the Concessions Manager. The role provides fast, friendly and accurate point-of-sale service for fans buying food, beverages or merchandise during RailRiders events, in a high-volume sports environment. It is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly, energetic and professional manner.
• Process high-volume transactions quickly and accurately using POS systems, handling cash, credit, debit and electronic payments.
• Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges or credits as needed.
• Tell guests about menu items, promotions and venue policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and order at cashier stations and replenish food, beverages and supplies.
• Handle guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Follow food safety, alcohol service and venue regulations, verify age and comply with stadium policies and guest safety rules.
• Work with team members and supervisors and follow company policies on sales, returns and security.

Required profile

• Previous customer service or guest services experience preferred; experience in live entertainment, sports or hospitality is an asset.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs and work in loud, crowded environments.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus but not required.
