About the role
The University of Miami/UHealth Department of the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a full‑time Scientist to join the Cancer Modeling Shared Resource. This position supports translational cancer research by leading complex in‑vivo and tissue‑based studies.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee research staff, students, and collaborators.
- Design, conduct, and analyze experiments related to cancer modeling.
- Prepare research proposals, funding applications, and compliance documentation.
- Author scientific publications, technical reports, and patent applications.
- Develop training materials for research personnel.
- Present findings at academic conferences and internal meetings.
Required profile
- Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant scientific field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant research experience.
- Strong ability to collect, organize, and analyze scientific data.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and sound judgment for critical decisions.
