ScienceLogic Subject Matter Expert (SME)

About the role

We are seeking a ScienceLogic Subject Matter Expert to lead the design, configuration, and optimization of monitoring solutions across complex virtualized and wireless environments. The role involves close collaboration with clients to implement robust monitoring policies, thresholds, and alerting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and optimize ScienceLogic monitoring for VMware, VCF, vCenter, wireless controllers, and access points.
• Implement client‑defined monitoring policies, thresholds, and alerting standards.
• Develop and maintain Dynamic Applications, event policies, and monitoring templates.
• Set up performance, availability, capacity, and health monitoring for supported infrastructure platforms.
• Tune alerts and thresholds to reduce false positives and improve operational effectiveness.
• Implement event enrichment and metadata for downstream integrations.
• Support integration with ServiceNow and Splunk for event forwarding and workflow automation.
• Execute monitoring validation, testing, and remediation activities during deployments.
• Create operational runbooks, support documentation, and knowledge‑transfer materials.
• Provide ongoing monitoring optimization and platform support during rollout and stabilization.

Required profile

• Proven experience in designing and managing monitoring solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of virtualized infrastructure and wireless networking.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality documentation.
