School Site Assistant – Part‑Time (4.5 hrs/day)

About the role

The Manteca Unified School District is seeking a reliable School Site Assistant to support daily operations at Joseph Widmer School. This part‑time position works approximately 4.5 hours per day on varying shifts, providing essential assistance to students and staff in a safe and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor students during arrival, dismissal, lunch, and other school activities.
• Assist teachers and staff with classroom setup, material distribution, and general classroom support.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure school site, including hallway and common area monitoring.
• Support school events and extracurricular activities as needed.
• Follow district policies on safety, health, and student conduct.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience or demonstrated knowledge of working with school‑age children.
• Ability to supervise students in a school setting.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment TB clearance and fingerprinting at personal cost.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of school safety and student supervision procedures.
