School Nurse – Student Health & Wellness

About the role

Charter Schools USA is seeking a dedicated School Nurse to promote health and well‑being across its campuses. You will work directly with students, staff, and families to ensure a safe, healthy learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date health records using available technology.
• Plan and conduct health screenings, examinations, and appraisals in line with state law and CSUSA policy.
• Monitor newly enrolled students for immunization compliance and medical record accuracy.
• Provide first aid, assist emergency responders, and keep required documentation.
• Administer medication according to state regulations and CSUSA guidelines.
• Advise and counsel students, staff, and parents on health matters and make referrals to community resources.
• Serve as a health curriculum consultant and contribute to policy development.
• Communicate health updates to staff and coordinate with local health organizations.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at all organizational levels.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in preparing comprehensive health reports.
