School Nurse (RN) – NYC School Coverage

About the role

We are seeking Registered Nurses to provide on‑site health support for New York City public schools during the upcoming school year. This position offers daytime, school‑calendar hours with no nights, weekends, or holiday shifts, allowing you to balance professional work with personal flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing coverage throughout the school day in assigned schools.
• Administer medication and deliver basic clinical care as needed.
• Support students with chronic health conditions and manage routine health needs.
• Respond promptly to health concerns, emergencies, and urgent situations on campus.
• Complete required documentation and maintain accurate health records.
• Coordinate with school staff, families, and external health providers to promote student well‑being.

Required profile

• Active New York State RN license.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or community health preferred.
• Strong assessment abilities and capacity to work independently.
