School Nurse

About the role

Charter Schools USA is seeking a dedicated Nurse to support the health and well‑being of students across its network of schools. The role focuses on creating a safe, healthy environment and addressing the medical needs of the school community.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date health records using available technology.
• Plan and conduct health screenings, examinations, and appraisals in line with state law and CSUSA policy.
• Monitor newly enrolled students for immunization compliance and medical documentation.
• Advise and counsel students, staff, and parents on health matters and make referrals to community resources.
• Serve as a resource for health instruction and curriculum planning.
• Provide first aid, assist emergency caregivers, and keep required records.
• Administer medication according to state law and CSUSA guidelines.
• Recommend health‑and‑safety improvements to the principal.
• Communicate health information to parents, staff, and community health organizations.

Required profile

• Ability to work and interact with individuals at all organizational levels.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Capability to prepare comprehensive reports and documentation.
