School Nurse

About the role

Charter Schools USA is seeking a dedicated School Nurse to join its mission of fostering strong minds and good hearts. In this role you will create a healthy school environment, support student well‑being, and ensure compliance with health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a complete, up‑to‑date health record system using available technology.
• Plan and conduct health screenings, examinations, and appraisals in line with state law and CSUSA policy.
• Monitor newly enrolled students to verify immunizations and medical records compliance.
• Advise and counsel students, staff, and parents on health matters and make referrals to community resources.
• Serve as a consultant for health instruction and curriculum planning.
• Provide first aid and assist emergency caregivers as needed, keeping required documentation.
• Administer medication according to state law and CSUSA policy.
• Recommend health and safety improvements to the principal to promote a safe learning environment.
• Communicate health information to parents, staff, and community health organizations.

Required profile

• Ability to work and interact with individuals at all organizational levels.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Capability to prepare comprehensive reports and documentation.

Required skills

• First aid certification.
• CPR certification.
