Scheduling Coordinator (Remote)

About the role

The Scheduling Coordinator ensures patients are promptly connected to the appropriate specialists by managing referral workflows from start to finish. Working remotely in a fast‑paced environment, you will act as the critical link between healthcare providers, patients, and external specialty clinics.

Key responsibilities

• Review electronic health records (EHRs) to collect, verify, and organize patient information for referrals.
• Prepare complete referral packets with demographic data, insurance details, and clinical notes.
• Submit referral documentation to external specialists via fax, phone, and secure digital platforms.
• Identify suitable specialty providers and route referrals accurately.
• Check referral packets for missing or incorrect documentation and resolve issues before submission.
• Collaborate with care‑coordination and follow‑up teams to maintain continuity throughout the referral process.
• Support additional operational workflows through cross‑training and administrative assistance.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in medical office administration, healthcare clerical support, or related roles.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and standard healthcare documentation practices.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a healthcare context.
