Satellite Technician II (Satcom)

About the role

GDIT is looking for a Satellite Technician II to work on customer sites, supporting the installation, repair and maintenance of communications systems and equipment. The position involves hands-on work with intermediate experience and requires a Secret clearance; the job is described as being transferred to MSAB, Jordan.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications systems.
• Support installations, repair and troubleshooting of communications systems or equipment.
• Share technical knowledge to solve complex problems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of related experience.
• Intermediate experience with DSCS or commercial satellite terminals (X, C, KA, Ku-band, tri-band).
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in supporting communications systems.
• US citizenship required; Secret clearance must be currently held or obtainable.

Required skills

• Satellite communications (SATCOM) and satellite modems.
• Ku-band and other satellite terminal types.
• FDM, TDM and IP-type satellite modems.
