Satellite Policy Associate – Starlink Mobile

About the role

SpaceX is seeking a Satellite Policy Associate to lead the regulatory and policy strategy for its Starlink Mobile service. The role focuses on telecommunications regulations, spectrum management and satellite policy to enable global cellular connectivity directly from satellites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and advocate broadband and spectrum policies that support SpaceX’s business objectives worldwide.
• Draft pleadings, letters and other advocacy materials to promote SpaceX’s policy positions.
• Engage with government officials and intergovernmental bodies such as the International Telecommunications Union to represent and promote company positions.
• Support the regulatory practice to obtain U.S. licenses, ensure compliance, and provide customer support for SpaceX spacecraft, earth stations and services.
• Prepare, pursue and manage regulatory licensing applications for system and service licensing.
• Provide strategic regulatory advice and advocacy support to business development teams.

Required profile

• Strong background in telecommunications regulations, spectrum policy and satellite regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience drafting policy documents and advocacy materials.
• Ability to work closely with engineers, policy advisors and external stakeholders across domestic and international jurisdictions.
• Excellent communication skills for representing the company before governmental and intergovernmental organizations.
