SAP Senior Basis Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Senior Basis Administrator to manage and support our enterprise SAP landscape in the Los Angeles area. The role involves overseeing SAP system health, driving cloud transformation projects, and ensuring reliable operations across development, QA, and production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and support SAP environments, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and related technologies.
• Perform installations, upgrades, patches, refreshes, system copies, and migrations.
• Support cloud initiatives such as RISE with SAP and cloud‑hosted SAP solutions.
• Manage SAP Basis activities across all system tiers and ensure performance, capacity, and availability.
• Administer SAP HANA databases, including tuning, backup, recovery, and optimization.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and business teams on projects and operational improvements.
• Handle SAP security, user access, transport management, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in disaster recovery, high‑availability, and business continuity planning.
• Provide on‑call support and resolve production issues as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of SAP Basis administration in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and SAP Basis architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP upgrades, migrations, system copies, and patch management.
• Experience with Windows Server and SQL database administration.
• Strong knowledge of SAP transport management, system monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud‑based SAP solutions, especially RISE with SAP.
• Understanding of SAP security, user administration, and compliance best practices.
