SAP Core Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Technical Development Manager to lead and guide our SAP development teams that support enterprise Finance and ERP platforms. The role combines hands‑on technical expertise with leadership of a blended onshore‑offshore team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for solution design, coding standards, performance optimization and production readiness.
• Review and approve technical designs, development estimates, transport plans and deployment approaches.
• Ensure SAP development aligns with enterprise architecture, security, audit and operational support models.
• Partner with functional SAP teams to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex production issues, including custom ABAP objects, integrations, batch jobs and cloud‑based applications.
• Support remediation efforts for SAP upgrades, S/4HANA migration, Unicode, HANA optimization and deprecated objects.
• Guide SAP Fiori and UI5 development and promote clean‑core principles.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing SAP development teams in large‑scale environments.
• Strong hands‑on SAP technical background, especially with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Ability to work closely with functional teams, enterprise architects, security, QA and vendor partners.
• Experience operating in a highly governed, enterprise‑IT organization.
